In 2022 and 2023 I worked on the the Ron Allen Project (RAP) and Horizons in Poetry (HIP), a Knight Foundation funded project through the Knight Arts Challenge.
Working with the grant team who was collecting digital items around the life and legacy of Detroit poet Ron Allen, I built https://ronallenproject.org/ as a place to archive this digital presence.
Every other month RAP held virtual poetry events on Zoom. This was a continuation of the Horizons in Poetry events that Ron co-founded in Detroit’s Cass Corridor. I was a virtual assistant for these events navigating the technical details of the Zoom meeting and editing the recordings for archival in the HIP YouTube channel.
